General: PLT provides tracking of a Windows Mobile device via GPS. Geographic boundries (Zones) can be created and when a device moves over a boundry in either direction an alert can be sent to a cell phone or via e-mail. Points Of Interest (POI) can be created and associated with a movable Zone based on closest POI. As the device moves different POI/Zone combinations are created. SMS messages can be used to remotely configure a device. Google maps and selectable Icon colors are used to display device movement/location on a PC. Maps can be pre-loaded to avoid costly airtime charges. Logging and playback of GPS data are included.

Start-up bug fix

If PLT is started without the PC Tracking checkbox being 'checked' an error/crash occurs. This has been fixed.

Destinations or POI's are now loaded upon start-up using the last-used list.

A members Forum has been added to the main web page. Use this to communicate/share information or problems with PLT.

Coding is underway for a Blackberry version of PLT. Several Blackberry platforms incorporate a built-in GPS, others allow Tringulation using cell phone towers. Initial efforts will concentrate on the GPS devices first.

New Screen layout

The opening 'AUTO' screen has been changed to make on-the-go use easier. Your PIN# can now be viewed AND changed from this screen. When changing Tap the GPS on/Off button to impement the change. This makes changing the PIN# as you travel easier & quicker. To make the change permanent tap the KEEP button on the Main Screen (see the Manual).

A POI Checkbox has been added to the AUTO Screen. This toggles the POI Zone2 tracking on or off. This functions exactly the same way as the POI Pilot button on the MAP screens. When checked the closest POI will be Zoned for entry/exit detection and notification. The Zone size will be identical to Zone2 as created from the Web site 'rectangle Zone' link.

Version 2.1.0 Fixes a few bugs and adds POI management and tracking controls. Basic functionality now includes:

Version 2.0.1

Version 2.0.1 adds POI with Zone management to PLT. You can Select a POI and Tap a MOVE ZONE button and the Zone will be relocated to that Lat/Lon. This is useful if you have multiple locations you wish to have Zoned. The POI feature can be used as a typical POI list of as a series of Zone targets.

The KEEP button, for saving user settings to be automatically loaded upon starting PLT, has been moved to the CONFIGURATION button location.

Version 1.2.1 Exit Lock-up fix

An annoying lock-up when exiting PLT was found & fixed. Also a Save Screen button was added to the Map page. With this button the Map being viewed (9 Tiles worth) can be saved as a single .png or .jpeg file in the PLT6\VE sub directory. The file is named 'myScreen.png or myScreen.jpeg. Existing screen saves will be overwritten using this same name, so copy the file to another directory if you want to save the screen shot.

New Radio Button: 'Out of Zone'  which starts TRACKING only when outside a zone, Zone exit/entry alerts also activated. Code for this button is coming...please be patient. The FIND BUDDY button is moved to the MAP Screen. Default Zones updated, had been causing initial start-up failures.
